the source and how I find pictures:
first, I see some stuff tumblr and what my friends show me. When I find a picture I really like, I use:
http://iqdb.org/
It’s a simple site which searches for the same image, on a lot of anime picture databases. When I find the picture I liked on the database, I can find other works by the same artist, or other art of the same character, etc.
this is how I branch out and learn of new artists and pictures
http://danbooru.donmai.us/ is my favorite Anime Picture database. I can easily browse through thousands of pictures a day if I have the time.
http://www.pixiv.net is a lot better, actually since it’s like a Japanese DeviantART and just jammed with pure, raw, anime art. I’m not that great at reading Japanese though, so it’s not very convenient.
how i tag:
i don’t often directly link back to the danbooru page or where I find the picture so what I do is tag it with credit to the artist and character. The order of the tags should let you know what is what…..though I don’t generally tag reblogged things, sowwy
Order of my tags (assuming nothing’s missing)
1st [title]
2nd. [artist name]
3. the word “anime”
4. the word “art”
5. [character name]
6. [anime]
the way you would find the exact danbooru page for the character or artist is to type the tag into the danbooru search bar, with the exception of: there can be no spaces. If there were spaces in the name, you have to replace them with a underscore(s).
